Kyu T. Kim

Kyu.T.Kim, a Managing Director, is a member of the firm’s management committee. Mr. Kim is responsible for the firm’s treasury functions, Limited Partner’s relations, and communication matters as head of Finance & Marketing Division. Mr. Kim is also responsible for the Venture Capital Division including overseas operations.

In both of these roles, Mr. Kim is focusing his effort in raising capital from overseas for the regional fund and accelerating cross-border M&A, especially between Korea and China.

Since joining the firm in 1999, Mr. Kim was responsible for the firm’s strategic policies, HR, and benefit plans. As part of these responsibilities, he led the strategic partnerships with JAIC (Japan Asia Investment Co., one of the leading VCs in Japan) and May-bank (a leading bank in Malaysia). With his great interests in finding new markets, expanding and changing KTB’s business scope, Mr. Kim contributed to expanding the firm’s business scope from a mere venture capital to the Private Equity firm.

Prior to joining KTB Investments, Mr. Kim served for fifteen years at Korea Long Term Credit Bank, where he was involved in the company’s treasury functions and corporate banking.

Mr. Kim received a BA in Business Administration from Korea University.
